A very smart person recently told me that being a leader is not about roles or roles, but about actions and goals. Great people start to do something, inspire others greatness, and ultimately create more leaders. They show, not tell. They give trust and responsibility.

This is the five things that great leaders do differently.

Let go of control

Believe it or not, great leaders understand that not everything is in their power. They also know and accept that their knowledge is limited. Even in tough decisions, the best people realize that assigning responsibility and empowering others to learn is the smartest trick in the CEO’s book.

Don’t be a solo band, but give the right person autonomy. Otherwise, micromanagement will make everyone crazy. Leaders have to put down their control to create an atmosphere of productivity and creativity, and everyone in a team has a clear sense of responsibility and contribution.

Don’t make excuses when you become a respected leader

“Great leaders don’t blame the tools they give,” says Simon Sinek. Great leaders strive to sharpen them. If you are in power, please remember not to allow excuses. Being a leader in command means that every setback and lack of progress is on you, even if it’s someone else’s fault.

Take responsibility and grow as all true leaders do. They are responsible for their actions, while others believe they are worthy of being trusted. People want to follow those who support accountability and moral behavior, which is why integrity is still one of the most important leadership qualities.

Never forget that your team members should get a first class seat, not a customer or a bottom line

For the diligent businessman, the customer should be the first priority. But the most important person for a leader should be an employee. Your team members are the ones who make it possible, so don’t forget to make them feel like they’re the biggest rock stars.

Always treat them with kindness and respect. ADP institute, according to a study conducted and allowed to grow, employee had been hired for work/life balance, and are endowed with a strong sense of purpose, they will be happy and satisfied.

You have to define the value you want before you want to be a leader

All successful organizations share common values and give them a clear, concise direction. It also applies to successful leaders, because they are the ones who set the course for others. As role models, they define and embody these values in a certain day.

If you still don’t know what kind of leader you want to be, that’s what you want. From ambition, ability and personality to optimism, reliability and flexibility, great leadership values are multifaceted. Choose the person you believe in and live every day.

Hold your fear and don’t let it stop you from making the best decision to move forward with your vision

This may encourage you to know that most leaders use the same “false” until you become “mindset”. For almost everyone, a new career challenge will trigger the impostor syndrome – others will find that you are not as competent and intelligent as you think you are.

Experts say the best way to overcome this problem is simply to accept it. Instead of pretending, ask your team to ask for help and listen to their assessment of current needs and future plans. They will give you some courage to move on and make the best decision for everyone.

Finally, unleash the power of your team to release your strength. Great leadership is about finding the perfect balance between coaching and listening, so whether you’re overconfident or afraid, don’t forget that you can count on your employees. Together, or not at all, you’ll find the best way to grow.
