The organization of health systems.

The health system in Albania is basically public. The state provides most services to the people in the field of promotion, prevention, diagnosis and treatment. The private sector is still at the forefront, covering most of the medical services, dental services and specialist clinics that are concentrated in Tirana.

In the public sector, the ministry of health plays a leading role, and the ministry of health is drafting and responsible for health system policies and strategies, as well as monitoring and coordination of all participants within and outside the system.

The diagnosis and treatment of health services are classified into three levels: primary care, secondary hospital services and tertiary hospitals.
