The director of the central intelligence agency provided a window on trump’s morning routine.

Americans often see provocative presidential tweets, like the size of the U.S. and north Korean nuclear buttons:

What the public did not see was that, face to face, cia director mike Pompey gave most of the time to President trump. In a relatively rare speech on Tuesday, Pompey provided a window for the President’s daily briefing on Tuesday and overturned reports that Mr. Trump had not been involved.

Pompey at the American enterprise institute, said: “almost every day, I will get up, ready to read the materials submitted in the morning, and then from langley [cia headquarters in the north of Virginia] rolling to the White House.”

Russian President Vladimir Putin in a meeting at the Kremlin in Moscow. U.S. intelligence agencies agree that Russia intervened in the presidential election to help Donald Trump.

Critics say the President sometimes does not seem to fully understand international affairs, tweeting first and then asking questions.

Mr. Trump is an avid observer of fox news’s fox and friends shows, and his early tweets sometimes track topics discussed in the show.

The Washington post last month published a lengthy story about the President’s skepticism about the intelligence he received, especially when it was related to Russia. The report also said the information was presented in a way that would not upset the President.

Pompeo, however, offers a very different view.

“The President put forward many problems, he was deeply involved in, we’ll be back and forth,” Pompeo 30 to 40 minutes of the meeting, they often include national security adviser, HR from McMaster and national intelligence chief Dan Coats.

The cia director said the materials submitted to trump were often placed in “three buckets.”

The first involves the most urgent developments.

“We try to talk about the situation every day,” Pompey said. “that’s what happened overnight.”

His report after the meeting in Tuesday morning spoke for a few hours, pointed out that “you can imagine how we will talk about” Turkey in northern Syria’s military invasion, against the Kurdish militia there.

The kurds are allied with the United States, calling on Turkey to exercise restraint.

The second barrel including items on the horizon, such as trump plans in davos, Switzerland world economic BBS trip, or upcoming meeting with foreign leaders, the central intelligence agency said.

In part 3, “we created some space to build knowledge for the team,” Pompeo said. “There will be no strategic project in the news tonight or next week, but what we know is essential to a common, fact-based understanding.”

Every President has his own daily briefings.

Barack Obama prefers to receive a written copy of his private reading. Other presidents have received verbal briefings from cia officials, but they are not usually introduced by the director himself.

According to everyone, Pompeo’s rapport with trump seems to have grown stronger in the morning meetings. Pompey Shared the President’s position in the face of rivals such as north Korea and Iran, and was blunt about his vision for the cia.

“We ask our officials to risk their lives to steal secrets to protect the United States,” Pompey said. “This is our fundamental mission, and we will never avoid it, and we do it actively, without any apology.”

The director of the cia said the President sometimes asked the agency to go back and get more details.

Citing the humanitarian crisis in yemen’s civil war, he asked: “the risk of cholera and hunger is happening,” Pompey said.

“He pushed us for a few days, three days, until we could give him a good picture, and then he could… Make a decision to let our friends call to try and make sure that the problem has been reduced or at the most unmitigated, “said the cia director.

This month, the United Nations world food program received four cranes paid by the United States at the port of Hodeidah in yemen. Their aim is to improve the delivery of aid to the devastated country.
