OET (Occupational English Test) is an international English language test designed specifically for healthcare professionals. It assesses the language proficiency of doctors, nurses, dentists, pharmacists, physiotherapists, radiographers and podiatrists who wish to practice in an English-speaking environment. The 12th healthcare professional eligible for the OET is audiologists. Audiologists are responsible for diagnosing, managing and treating hearing, balance and other auditory disorders. They are also involved in the fitting, programming and maintenance of hearing aids, and in the counselling of patients and families affected by hearing loss. OET is the perfect tool for audiologists to demonstrate their English proficiency and show they are prepared to work in an English-speaking environment.
